This year off to a great start!!

Hello Friends and Family,
I'm happy to say i completed my 2nd 1/2 marathon (Carlsbad 1/2 marathon)!!! 2 beautiful things came from this race.... I was able to run this race with my pals Charisse and Trey Irwin(it was their first 1/2 marathon)...I'm so, so proud of them!! A true gift to create a beautiful memory with friends:)

Then the one thing that was most important to me was...running in Honor of Jessica Smith...I could so feel her spirit with me on this race...I remember the first time telling her i was running this race for her...how humbled she was...I so wanted her to conquer Colon Cancer..I wanted her to live a great life with her husband and 3 year old sweet pea Lilliana..I wanted her to have a miracle and survive....
This was not the plan for Jessica...but... I believe she is a miracle in that she touched so....so..many people in her short life! She taught me to be brave in the face of challenge...she taught me to still find joy in a day...when the pain is bad....she taught me to have Great Faith when...the chances are not good....and the most important thing is she taught me that a mother's Love does not die...it can't be broken.....

You see this is a miracle to me because this is a strong soul whom i never had the chance of meeting face to face...Just connected through the Colon Club..and then Facebook...I love how a soul can touch another soul without the meeting of face to face.

So my sweet friend who was chosen to go home so early in your life...i love you friend..thank you for touching my soul..teaching all of us to Love Life and your family....I sent YOUR medal to your daughter this week with a note telling her how much Mommy loves her...and how her Mommy taught me to be so strong....tell we meet face to face in Heaven...I will just trust in Faith that I will feel your spirit.. till that great meeting friend:)

I love you all and sorry that I have been a bit absent on the blog...When you don't hear from me for awhile just know ...I'm out living life and I'm soaking in every moment of Life xoxox

Carpe Diem,
Love Deb
p.s My next Marathon is in April..dedicating my race to my Colon Club peeps Bill LLib and Terry Minor..so happy to have awesome souls inspire me..
p.s.s I shaved 17 min off my old time... chugged 2 hours 55 min...

Thank you Lord giving me my health to live life ..i love you
